Charles Henry Grosvenor served as a brigade commander in the Union Army during the Civil War. An Ohio lawyer and educator, he went on to a long political career, serving multiple terms as a U.S. Representative from Ohio and chairing the House Republican Conference from 1895 to 1899. He was born in 1833 and died in 1917.
