Stephen D. Lee

Stephen Dill Lee served as a lieutenant general in the Confederate States Army, fighting in both the Eastern and Western theaters of the Civil War. After the war he became a politician and the first president of Mississippi State University, serving from 1880 to 1899. He was born in 1833 and died in 1908.
