Samuel N. Yeoman

Samuel N. Yeoman served with the 90th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, rising to lieutenant colonel. The regiment fought at Perryville, Stones River, Chickamauga, and through the Atlanta Campaign, and Yeoman commanded it at the Battle of Nashville in December 1864, helping break John Bell Hood’s Confederate army. He survived the war and died in 1890 while at Tate Springs, Tennessee, and is buried in Washington Court House, Ohio.
