Lyman M. Ward

Lyman M. Ward served as a colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War and received an honorary brevet to brigadier general for his service. A farmer and Republican politician from Berrien County, Michigan, he went on to serve four years in the Michigan House of Representatives after the war. He was born in Cattaraugus County, New York, in 1836 and died in 1909.
