John T. Croxton

John Thomas Croxton was an attorney who became a general in the Union Army during the Civil War, commanding a cavalry brigade in the Western Theater, including in the Atlanta Campaign and Wilson’s Raid through Alabama. After the war he served as U.S. Minister to Bolivia during the Reconstruction era. He was born in Kentucky in 1836 and died in 1874.
