Joseph F. Knipe
Joseph Farmer Knipe served as a brigadier general in the Union Army during the Civil War. His troops won a decisive victory in late 1864 that helped clear Tennessee of Confederate forces during the Franklin-Nashville Campaign. He was born in 1823 and died in 1901.
