Joseph B. Palmer

Marcellus A. Stovall

Marcellus Augustus Stovall, a soldier and merchant, served as a Confederate general during the Civil War. After the war he resumed his business and civic interests. He was born in 1818 and died in 1895.

Henry D. Clayton

Henry DeLamar Clayton Sr., an Alabama attorney, served as a major general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, commanding a division in the Army of Tennessee in the Western Theater. After the war he became a judge and college president. He was born in 1827 and died in 1889.
